Respect and photography at events

A few guidelines for attending events and taking part in online conversations.

Names and pronouns

Use the name and pronouns a person introduces themselves with. Do not assume someone’s orientation or identity or press them for personal information.

Photo consent

Attending an event does not mean consenting to photography. Ask before photographing, posting or tagging someone. Do not share information about other people’s attendance without their permission.

Personal boundaries

Respect a refusal without asking for an explanation. If you have a problem at an event, tell the organisers.
